It’s always a good idea to keep a buffer between a Character and things that may try to kill them. Therefore, every Character will have a single Armor Slot to equip an Armor of their choice from the list below to enhance their defenses. A Character’s Armor will have a direct impact on their ability to avoid Attacks and withstand Damage. A Character's Physical Armor begins at a base of Five(5) plus the sum of the Character's Skill Attribute and any Equipment Bonuses earned through equipping Armor and investing in Armor Training and can be further adjusted by Perks, Heroic Actions, or Class Features. A Character's Force Armor begins at a base of five(5) plus the sum of the Character's Will Attribute and any Equipment Bonuses earned through equipping Armor and investing in Armor Training and can be further adjusted by Perks, Heroic Actions, or Class Features.

An Armor or Shield that offers Damage Resistance will grant an amount equal to the wearer's Equipment Rank with that piece of Equipment. Armors and Shields can not be the subject of Equipment Modifications but can be uniquely outfitted through the use and implementation of Gear. While adventuring, Cloth and Light Armor sets can be Equipped as a Full Action, while Heavy and Plate Armor Sets require spending One(1) Hour during Downtime to get fitted.

Refer to the Armor Breakdown for an overview of the different Armors and Shields.
