Two(2) Handed

Base Scale: 3 Weapon Damage: 1D10

Damage Type: Pierce/Slash

A hefty hilted weapon with a long honed edge capable of broad slashes and heavy thrusts, such as a Claymore. Longer and with more heft than their One(1) Handed counterparts, Greatblades are designed and constructed for delivering more momentum with every swing, allowing their wielders more leverage and flexibility in battle at the cost of versatility in their loadout. Investing in Greatblade Training will enhance a Character’s Physical Impact and Athletics Ability Statistics every Odd Rank and their Attack and Damage Rolls with Melee Weapons, and their Attack Rolls when Parrying on Even Ranks. At Rank Five(5) and Ten(10), the Character’s Base Scale with any Weapon increases by plus One(+1), permanently increasing their Weapon Damage with all Weapons. A New Equipment Modification Slot becomes available at the First(1st) Equipment Rank and every Three(3) Equipment Ranks after that.

Greatblade Weapon Heroics

Serrated Slash

Prerequisite: Greatblade (Rank 1)

AP Cost: 5

Action Type: Melee Weapon Attack

Range: Adjacent

As a Standard Action, you can attempt a Melee Weapon Attack against an Adjacent Target with a jagged slash that tears your Target’s flesh. If successful, in addition to normal Weapon Damage, your Target suffers Stacks of the Bleed Injury equal to Half(½) of your Power Attribute. The Target can attempt a Physical Save against your Attack Roll to Negate the Injury Effect.

Guarded Reflexes

Prerequisite: Greatblade (Rank 1)

AP Cost: 5

Action Type: Free Action

You can attempt a Parry as a Free Action. 

Backswing

Prerequisite: Greatblade (Rank 2)

AP Cost: 10

Action Type: Melee Weapon Attack

Range: Adjacent

As a Standard Action, you can attempt a Two(2) Handed Melee Weapon Attack against an Adjacent Target with a drastic overhead chop that strikes not only your Target but an additional Target located directly behind you. 

Make a single Melee Attack Roll that applies against both Targets. If successful, the Target suffers normal Weapon Damage. 

Forward Slash

Prerequisite: Greatblade (Rank 2)

AP Cost: 10

Action Type: Melee Weapon Attack

Range: Two(2) Paces/Adjacent

As a Standard Action, you can carry yourself with forwarding momentum when attempting a Melee Weapon Attack. You move up to Two(2) Paces towards your Target before attempting your Melee Weapon Attack from an Adjacent Space. 

Battle Poise

Prerequisite: Greatblade (Rank 3)

Action Type: Reaction

Range: Self

As a Reaction to becoming the Target of a Weapon Attack, you shift your footwork to support your fighting posture, gaining Damage Resistance equal to your Power Attribute against all Physical Damage until the beginning of your next Turn.

Diamond Edge

Prerequisite: Greatblade (Rank 3)

AP Cost: 15

Action Type: Melee Weapon Attack

Range: Adjacent

You can attempt a Two(2) Handed Melee Weapon Attack against an Adjacent Target by driving against your Target with a hardened edge of your Melee Weapon as a Standard Action. If successful, in addition to normal Weapon Damage your Target will suffer 1D8 Crush Damage for every Two(2) Points of your Power Attribute. Diamond Edge bypasses all forms of Damage Resistance. 

Cross Slash

Prerequisite: Greatblade (Rank 4)

AP Cost: 20

Action Type: Melee Weapon Attack

Range: Adjacent 

As a Standard Action, you can attempt a Two(2) Handed Melee Weapon Attack against an Adjacent Target that inflicts normal Weapon Damage. If successful, as a Move Action, you can attempt an additional Melee Weapon Attack against an Adjacent Target of your choice. 

Sever Limb

Prerequisite: Greatblade (Rank 4)

AP Cost: 20

Action Type: Melee Weapon Attack

Range: Adjacent 

Effect Duration: Until Treated

As a Standard Action, you can attempt a Two(2) Handed Melee Weapon Attack against an Adjacent Target in an attempt to remove a limb from their body. If successful, in addition to normal Weapon Damage, your Target is inflicted with Stacks of the Bleed Injury equal to Half(½) of your Power Attribute and the Fractured Injury.

Agile Slash

Prerequisite: Greatblade (Rank 5)

AP Cost: 25

Action Type: Move Action

Range: Adjacent

As a part of a Move Action, you can attempt a Melee Weapon Attack against an Adjacent Target at any point during your Path of Travel while moving at Half(1/2) your Speed. 

Rending Arc

Prerequisite: Greatblade (Rank 5)

AP Cost: 25

Action Type: Full Action

Range: Adjacent

As a Full Action, you perform a deadly circular slash that cuts deep into all Adjacent Targets, inflicting 1D8 Slash Damage and a Stack of the Bleed Injury for every Two(2) Points of your Power Attribute. Additionally, affected Targets can attempt a Physical Save against your Physical Impact to cut any Damage in Half(½).

Hew

Prerequisite: Greatblade (Rank 6)

AP Cost: 30

Action Type: Melee Weapon Attack

Range: Adjacent

As a Standard Action, you can attempt a Two(2) Handed Melee Weapon Attack against an Adjacent Target by cleaving through your Target into nearby Creatures. If successful, in addition to normal Weapon Damage, your Target suffers 1D8 Slash Damage for every Two(2) Points of your Power Attribute. The additional Slash Damage is also dealt to any Creatures that are Adjacent to your Target. Additionally, affected Targets can attempt a Physical Save against your Attack Roll to cut any Damage in Half(½).

Clash of Steel

Prerequisite: Greatblade (Rank 7)

AP Cost: 35

Action Type: Reaction

As a Reaction to being in the Path of Travel of a Charging Creature, you begin to Charge directly towards your Target, meeting them partially through their Charge to deliver a deadly Melee Weapon Attack. If successful, in addition to Maximum Weapon Damage, your Target’s Charge is interrupted as they continue their movement past you before the results of your Attack are revealed. 

Cascading Charge

Prerequisite: Greatblade (Rank 8)

AP Cost: 40

Action Type: Melee Weapon Attack

Range: Double(2*) Speed(Charge)

As a Full Action, you can sprint forward up to Twice(2*) your Speed at a Target as a Charging Melee Weapon Attack. During your Path of Travel, you provoke an Attack of Opportunity from all Threatening Creatures on your way to your Target, allowing you to Parry any incoming Attacks. Upon reaching your Target, they suffer your normal Weapon Damage Multiplied by the number of successful Parry attempts made during your Charge. Therefore, the Weapon Attack of Cascading Charge is unavoidable. 

Buzzsaw

Prerequisite: Greatblade (Rank 9)

AP Cost: 45

Action Type: Full Action

Range: Power Attribute(Line)

As a Full Action, you can hurl a Two(2) Handed Melee Weapon in a straight line up to a Range equal to your Power Attribute, tearing through any Targets in its Path of Travel for 1D10 Slash Damage for every Point of your Power Attribute. Affected Targets can attempt a Physical Save against your Physical Impact to cut any Damage in Half(½). At any time during your Weapon’s Path of Travel, you can deny a Target the attempt at a Physical Save, inflicting Maximum Damage and the Impaled Condition and prematurely ending your Weapon’s trajectory. 

Berserker Ring

Prerequisite: Greatblade (Rank 10)

AP Cost: 50

Action Type: Full Action

Range: Adjacent

As a Full Action, you can whirl in a spherical slice that inflicts deadlier Damage as you strike more Targets. You inflict your normal Weapon Damage to all Adjacent Targets while multiplying your Weapon Damage by the number of Targets hit by your Attack. Affected Targets can attempt a Physical Save against your Physical Impact to cut any Damage in Half(½).
