Now that your Character is fully fleshed out, it's time to push them to their limits. This can be accomplished through the use of Heroic Actions, often shortened to Heroics, at the expense of a Character's Action Points. Heroics can be any type of extraordinary Action that could be beneficial in a Character's performance during Interaction, Exploration, and Combat scenarios. It may help you to think of your Heroic Slots as a type of Spellbook or special moves list that your Character keeps at the ready whenever matters become serious.

While each Heroic Action may have unique rules or circumstances to their use, the strength or effectiveness of Heroics will often be determined through an Impact Roll weighed against a potential Target(s) Save Roll(s). Other Heroics may be an alternate, often improved variant of another Action, such as a Standard Weapon Attack or a Class Feature. Heroics may also take the form of a Ritual, or a long-form practice or preparation to be exercised during a Character's downtime, often offering temporary enhancements or effects in exchange for occupancy in a Heroic Action Slot.

Heroic Slots

Each Character will be limited in the number of Heroic Actions that they may select from at any given moment throughout the maintenance of their Heroic Action Slots. Each Character begins with a base of Four(4)Heroic Slots, gaining additional Heroic Slots equal to Half(½) of their Focus Attribute. Additional Heroic Action Slots can also be gained through select Perks, Class Features, or Equipment Proficiencies.

A Character can reset their current selection of Heroic Actions as a Ritual during a Rest Period, spending One(1) Hour in deep meditation to realign their thoughts. When reselecting new Heroic Actions, the Character can choose from any available Heroic depending on their Class and Equipment Level qualifiers.

Heroic Categories

Similar to Perks, the Heroic Actions listed in this section have been divided based on the Prerequisite requirements needed to gain access to the Heroic. There are One Thousand and Three Hundred (1300) Heroics to choose from in this book, with each Character only having a narrow selection of Heroics that will expand as they grow and learn. Heroics are divided into the following categories: 


Base Class Heroics

Heroics determined by your choice of Base Class; that become accessible as you advance your Base class Levels. Each Base Class will include Two(2) Heroics Lists that support thematic elements of adventure or styles of play. The Action Point Cost of a Base Class Heroic is plus Five(+5) per Level. 

Equipment Heroics

Heroics determined by your choice of Equipment Proficiencies; that become accessible as you advance your Equipment Levels. Non-Shield Armors do not grant access to Heroic Actions. The Action Point Costs of an Equipment Heroic is plus Five(+5) per Prerequisite Equipment Level. 

Hybrid Class Heroics

Heroics that become accessible as you advance in Class Level for your unique Hybrid Class. Each Hybrid Class will only gain access to a single Heroic with each Hybrid Class Level, however, Hybrid Class Heroics are often of a superior magnitude in efficacy when compared to Base Class and Equipment Heroics. The Action Point Cost of a Base Class Heroic is plus Ten(+10) per Prerequisite Hybrid Level.
