One(1) Handed

Base Scale: 1 Weapon Damage: 1D6

Damage Type: Pierce/Slash

A well-balanced weapon with a gripped hilt or handguard inflicts damage by slashing or thrusting with the weapon's edge, such as a sword. Often favored by warriors, soldiers, and duelists, Blade Weapons are typically paired with an Off-handed Weapon such as a shield or pistol. Investing in a Blade Melee Training will enhance a Character’s Physical Impact and Bleed Effects, increasing the number of Bleed Stacks delivered when successfully inflicting the Bleed Injury on a Creature every Odd Rank and their Attack and Damage Rolls with Melee Weapons, and their Attack Rolls when Parrying on Even Ranks. At Rank Five(5) and Ten(10), the Character’s Base Scale with any Weapon increases by plus One(+1), permanently increasing their Weapon Damage with all Weapons. A New Equipment Modification Slot becomes available at the First(1st) Equipment Rank and every Three(3) Equipment Ranks after that.

Blade Weapon Heroics

Counter Slash

Prerequisite: Blade (Rank 1)

As a part of Parrying an Attack from an Adjacent Attacker, you can attempt a Melee Weapon Attack against your Attacker.

Shallow Slice

Prerequisite: Blade (Rank 1) 

AP Cost: 5

Action Type: Standard Action

Range: Adjacent

As a Standard Action, land a shallow slash against an Adjacent Target that inflicts Stacks of the Bleed Injury equal to Half(½) of your Power Attribute. Your Target can attempt a Physical Save against your Physical Impact to Negate the Injury.

Bloody Counter

Prerequisite: Blade (Rank 2) 

AP Cost: 10

Action Type: Parry

Range: Adjacent

As a part of Parrying an Attack from an Adjacent Attacker, you lightly slice into your Attacker, inflicting Stacks of the Bleed Injury equal to Half(½) of your Power Attribute. 

Graceful Slash

Prerequisite: Blade (Rank 3) 

AP Cost: 15

Action Type: Reaction

Range: Adjacent

As a Reaction to evading an incoming Melee Weapon Attack, you can counter with a delicate but lethal cut to your Attacker, inflicting your normal Weapon Damage and an additional 1D6 Slash Damage for every Two(2) Points of your Skill Attribute. In addition, the Target can attempt a Physical Save against your Physical Impact to cut any Damage in Half(½). 

Pommel Strike

Prerequisite: Blade (Rank 3) 

AP Cost: 15

Action Type: Rapid Action

Range: Adjacent

As a Rapid Action, strike an Adjacent Target with the hilt of your Melee Weapon, inflicting your Minimum Weapon Damage as Crush Damage and the Staggered Injury until the end of the next Turn. The Target can attempt a Physical Save against your Physical Impact to Negate the Injury.

Sword Ejection

Prerequisite: Blade (Rank 3) 

AP Cost: 15

Action Type: Parry

Range: Adjacent/Three(3) Paces

As a part of Parrying an Attack from an Adjacent Attacker, you Disarm your Attacker, safely throwing their Melee Weapon to any Space up to Three(3) Paces away. 

Bloodsport

Prerequisite: Blade (Rank 4) 

AP Cost: 20

Action Type: Standard Action

Range: Adjacent

As a Standard Action, you deliver a series of shallow blows against any Adjacent Targets, inflicting Stacks of the Bleed injury equal to Half(½) of your Power Attribute. Additionally, affected Targets can attempt a Physical Save against your Physical Impact to Negate the Injury. 

Excision

Prerequisite: Blade (Rank 4) 

AP Cost: 20

Action Type: Melee Weapon Attack

Range: Adjacent

As a Standard Action, while Dual Wielding Melee Weapons, you can attempt a Melee Weapon Attack by crossing your weapons to deliver a single devastating blow against an Adjacent Target. If successful, your Target suffers Weapon Damage from both your Main-hand and Off-hand Weapons. 

Beam Saber

Prerequisite: Blade (Rank 5) & Catalyst (Any Rank)

AP Cost: 25

Action Type: Full Action

Range: Half(½) Focus Attribute

As a Full Action, channel your energy into the edge of your Weapon, allowing you to launch an energy blade at a Target within a Range equal to Half(½) of your Focus Attribute, inflicting normal Weapon Damage and an additional 1D10 Force Damage for every Two(2) Points of your Power Attribute.  

Bullet Parry

Prerequisite: Blade (Rank 5) 

AP Cost: 25

Action Type: Reaction

As a Reaction, you can attempt to Parry an incoming Ranged Weapon Attack.  

Arc Slash

Prerequisite: Blade (Rank 6) 

AP Cost: 30

Action Type: Standard Action

Range: Adjacent

As a Standard Action, you deliver a spinning slash that strikes any Adjacent Targets, inflicting 1D8 Slash Damage for every Point of your Power Attribute. In addition, affected Targets can attempt a Physical Save against your Physical Impact to cut any Damage in Half(½).

Flashing Steel

Prerequisite: Blade (Rank 7) 

AP Cost: 35

Action Type: Melee Weapon Attack

Range: Double(2*) Speed(Charge)

As a Full Action, you may sprint up to Twice(2*) your Speed in a straight line towards a Target while slashing at any additional Targets along your Path of Travel. Then, attempt a single Melee Weapon Attack Roll against your Target that inflicts normal Weapon Damage, and any other Targets that the results of your Attack Roll would strike will suffer your normal Weapon Damage as you pass them during your Charge. 

Sword Saint

Prerequisite: Blade (Rank 8) 

AP Cost: 40

Action Type: Full Action

Range: Adjacent

As a Full Action, you provoke all Adjacent Targets into a team assault against you, inflicting the Taunt Miscognition for a single Turn. Until your next Turn, you can Parry any Weapon Attacks made against you as a Free Action. A successful Parry inflicts your normal Weapon Damage on your Attacker. Affected Targets can attempt a Force Save against your Physical Impact to Negate the Miscognition. 

Gleaming Cut

Prerequisite: Blade (Rank 9) 

AP Cost: 45

Action Type: Standard Action

Range: Half(½) Skill Attribute

As a Standard Action, you draw and resheath your Blade Weapon. Moments later, a Target within a Range equal to Half(½) of your Skill Attribute is struck by a high-velocity cut, inflicting your Blade Weapon Damage and an additional 1D10 Slash Damage for every Point of your Power Attribute. In addition, the Target can attempt a Physical Save against your Physical Impact to cut any Damage in Half(½). 

Highland Clash

Prerequisite: Blade (Rank 10) 

AP Cost: 50

Action Type: Melee Weapon Attack

Range: Double(2*) Speed(Charge)

As a Full Action, you may sprint up to Twice(2*) your Speed in a straight line towards a Target to deliver a mighty slash at their neck. Upon reaching your Target, you attempt a Melee Weapon Attack that is automatically successful if your Target fails to Parry it. If your Target fails to Parry your Attack, they suffer a Critical Hit that inflicts Double(2*) Weapon Damage. If Highland Clash were to Kill the Target, they would be decapitated in a single stroke, preventing it from being revived, regenerated, or resurrected.
