A Driver is a hand-mounted computing gauntlet with nodes affixed to the fingertips designed to navigate digital menus and interfaces rapidly. Lumen Drivers are often required to facilitate many Electronics Ability Checks or interact with Digital Entities, Devices, or Objects. Lumen Drivers contain holographic light projectors that can display simple audiovisual information. When wielded as a Weapon, a Driver can be used to implant destructive errors within a Targeted Machine’s internal processes, causing the Machine to suffer Electric Damage. You can not use standard Lumen Drivers to harm Non-Machine Creatures. Investing in Lumen Driver Training will enhance a Character’s Force Save and Electronics Ability Statistics at every Odd Rank, their Attack and Damage Rolls with Cast Weapons, and their total available Heroic Action Slots on Even Ranks. At Rank Five(5) and Ten(10), the Character’s Base Scale with any Weapon increases by plus One(+1), permanently increasing their Weapon Damage with all Weapons. A New Equipment Modification Slot becomes available at the First(1st) Equipment Rank and every Three(3) Equipment Ranks after that.

Lumen Driver Heroics

Dazzle

Prerequisite: Driver (Rank 1)

Action Type: Standard Action

Range: Driver Range

Effect Duration: Rounds

As a Standard Action, you can utilize your Lumen Driver to shine a bright light in the eyes or optical sensor of a Target within your Effective Driver Range, inflicting the Dazed Miscognition, preventing the Target from using Reactions for the Effect Duration. The Target can attempt a Force Save against your Force Impact to Negate the Miscognition. A Target must be able to perceive light to be affected by Dazzle.

Skimmer

Prerequisite: Driver (Rank 1)

AP Cost: 5

Action Type: Interaction

Range: Driver Range

As a part of an Interaction, while witnessing a Character enter secure information such as a key code or password within your Effective Driver Range, you can attempt an Electronics Ability Check to utilize your Lumen Driver as a remote keylogger in an attempt to acquire a copy of the input.

Laser Blast

Prerequisite: Driver (Rank 2)

AP Cost: 10

Action Type: Cast Weapon Attack

Range: Driver Range

As a Standard Action, you can attempt a Cast Weapon Attack against a Target within your Effective Driver Range by using your Lumen Driver to fire a super-heated laser blast at your Target. If successful, in addition to normal Weapon Damage, your Target suffers 1D6 Pyrotic Damage for every Two(2) Points of your Focus Attribute. 

Signal Jam

Prerequisite: Driver (Rank 2)

Effect Duration: Minutes

As a Standard Action, you can attempt a Cast Weapon Attack against a Mechanical Target within your Effective Driver Range by feeding their internal systems with data that can scramble their communications ability.

Barrier Projection

Prerequisite: Driver (Rank 3)

AP Cost: 15

Action Type: Standard Action

Range: Driver Range

As a Standard Action, you attempt an Electronics Ability Check to project an impassable Barrier between any Two(2) Points within your Effective Driver Range. Your Barrier can be shattered by an Attack Roll or a Heroic Impact Roll that exceeds your Electronics Ability Check.

Flashbang

Prerequisite: Driver (Rank 3)

AP Cost: 15

Action Type: Standard Action

Range: Half(½) Driver Range(Radius)

Effect Duration: Rounds

As a Standard Action, you can utilize your Lumen Driver to manifest an intense flash of light that inflicts the Blind Injury on any Targets within a Radius equal to Half(½) of your Effective Driver Range for the Effect Duration. Additionally, affected Targets can attempt a Force Save against your Force Impact to Negate the Injury Effect.  A Target must be able to perceive light to be affected by Flashbang.

Link Shock

Prerequisite: Driver (Rank 4)

Action Type: Cast Weapon Attack

Range: Driver Range

As a Standard Action, you can attempt a Cast Weapon Attack against a Target Bound Machine within your Effective Driver Radius. If successful, your Attack inflicts your normal Weapon Damage as an Electric Damage and an additional 1D8 Electric Damage for every Two(2) Points of your Will Attribute to both the Bound Machine and the holder of its Matrix Controller. 

System Mapping

Prerequisite: Driver (Rank 4)

As a part of an Interaction, while your Driver is linked to a System, you can utilize your Lumen Driver to manifest a digital map of the networked facility. This map is stored on the Lumen Driver and can be referenced at will.

Laser Beam

Prerequisite: Driver (Rank 5)

AP Cost: 25

Action Type: Full Action

Range: Driver Range(Line)

As a Full Action, you can charge your Lumen Driver to create a powerful super-heated beam of Pyrotic energy that burns all Targets in a straight line up to your Effective Driver Range for your normal Weapon Damage and an additional 1D8 Pyrotic Damage for every Two(2) Points of your Will Attribute. In addition, affected Targets can attempt a Physical Save against your Force Impact to cut any Damage in Half(½). 

Mekalock

Prerequisite: Driver (Rank 5)

AP Cost: 25

Action Type: Full Action

Range: Driver Range

As a Full Action, you can use your Lumen Driver to completely lockdown the functionality of a Machine Target within your Effective Driver Range with the Paralyzed Injury. As a Standard Action, you can maintain a hold on a current Target for an additional Round. Then, the Target can attempt a Force Save against your Force Impact to Negate the Injury Effect. 

Screensaver

Prerequisite: Driver (Rank 6)

As a part of an Interaction, you can attempt an Electronics Ability Check to inflict the Enthralled Miscognition against a Target Unaware or Non-hostile Machine within your Effective Driver Range for the Effect Duration. The Target can attempt a Force Save against your Electronics Ability Check to Negate the Miscognition.  

Cyber Revolt

Prerequisite: Driver (Rank 7)

AP Cost: 35

Action Type: Full Action

Range: Driver Range

Effect Duration: Until Treated

As a Full Action, you can use your Lumen Driver to eliminate all IFF Data from a Target Machine, inflicting the Outlaw Miscognition and causing the Machine to treat all Creatures as Hostiles. Then, the Target can attempt a Force Save against your Force Impact to Negate the Miscognition. 

Motion Reflector

Prerequisite: Driver (Rank 8)

AP Cost: 40

Action Type: Exploration

Range: Self

As a part of Exploring, you can attempt a Stealth Ability Check to activate a projection from your Lumen Driver that confuses mechanical or digital sensors, making the Perception Ability Checks of Machines or Mechanical Creatures suffer a minus Twenty(-20) penalty when trying to locate you for as long as you are Hidden. 

Grey Noise

Prerequisite: Driver (Rank 9)

Effect Duration: Minutes

As a Full Action, you can utilize your Lumen Driver to release a dull signal that stays centered on you that overwhelms nearby communications within a Radius equal to your Effective Driver Range. For the Effect Duration, any Mechanical Object, Device, or Creature suffers the Severed Condition as long as they remain within your Effective Driver Radius. Machines within your Effective Driver Radius are inflicted with the Pacify Miscognition. Affected Machines can attempt a Force Save against your Force Impact to Negate the Pacify Miscognition. 

Ignition Beam

Prerequisite: Driver (Rank 10)

AP Cost: 50

Action Type: Full Action

Range: Driver Range(Line)

As a Full Action, you utilize your Lumen Driver to unleash a devastating super-heated laser that ignites and burns all that it touches to ash, inflicting your normal Weapon Damage, an additional 1D10 Pyrotic Damage for every Two(2) Points of your Focus Attribute, and inflicting the Ignite Condition on all Targets in a straight line up to your Effective Driver Range. Affected Targets can attempt a Physical Save against your Force Impact to cut any Damage in Half(½) and Negate the Ignite Condition. The Damage of Ignition Beam bypasses all forms of Damage Resistance.
